  • An artist book exploring the meaning and concept of growth through handmade cyanotype photograms of bamboo branches and leaves printed on Hahnemuehle Platinum Rag paper. These are paired with the poem If– by Rudyard Kipling in a collection of 4 folios. The bamboo grew from tiny shoots to over 20 feet tall in the span of a year.

    Each and every one of the cyanotypes utilized in the folios, spine, outside case, and interior tray are unique to every piece in the edition of 25. The 8 poem pages letterpress printed on Canson Opalux paper utilized in the folios also include unique bamboo leaf cutouts.

    Handset and polymer plate letterpress printing throughout using 16pt Fairbanks italic, 30pt/12pt Cochin regular & italic, and 82pt Field Gothic.
